Southern Chapter Members,
Due to the on-going situation with COVID-19, the Southern Chapter has cancelled all in-person meetings. Until further notice, we will be utilizing an online-only format to conduct meetings and trainings.
The effort to slow the spread of Covid-19 has halted a good portion of in-person functions, as law enforcement agencies have instituted new social distancing guidelines that directly impact the ability to attend trainings. The consequences of the pandemic have been felt by both our cities and agencies in regards to financial burdens. With this in mind, the Southern Chapter board will continue to try and provide its members with crucial information and vital learning experiences.
Protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our members is paramount to the CLEARS Organization. Put simply, this change is the right thing for our chapter to do in order to meet the challenges of this once-in-a-lifetime event. We want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we transition to this new format. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to address them with any member of our Southern Chapter board.
We do urge those who are feeling ill to please stay home in order to help prevent the spread of illness to the law enforcement community.
We will continue to communicate with you in a timely and transparent way. Please continue to check for emails and Facebook posts for further information.
Thank you and please stay safe and healthy,
Southern Chapter President
